Columbia College is located in Columbia, South Carolina and was founded in 1854.  Its mission is to prepare students personally and professionally for success through strong liberal arts and professional programs emphasizing service, social justice, and leadership development.  It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC) Commission on Colleges.

Columbia College enrolls approximately 1,200 male and female students in both undergraduate and graduate programs.  For most students, it is a traditional small college experience filled with small classes and a lot of time with faculty members.  Approximately 80% of enrollment is at the undergraduate level. For more than a decade, the College has developed strong adult-oriented programs that emphasize quality and today’s workforce needs.

Courses offered by Columbia College include a unique five-week format, which is great for current college students who need to pick up a class.  They are also perfect for busy adults who want to focus on a single course to see how college courses fit into their schedules. EduForum and the College strongly recommend taking only one five-week course at a time because they condense three credits of work into a shorter time frame.

The College was asked to become one of EduForum’s launch members because of their course format, their dedication to students regardless of age or past, and their interest in educational innovation.
