The College of Charleston is located in Charleston, South Carolina and was founded in 1770.  As one of the nation’s oldest public liberal arts institutions, the College offers more than 60 undergraduate majors and 24 masters’ programs.  It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC) Commission on Colleges.

C of C enrolls almost 10,000 undergraduate students, and 1,000 graduate students.  While many undergraduates live on the traditional campus, the School of Professional Studies is emerging as a dedicated educational home for non-traditional students.  The College of Charleston is evolving to meet the needs of a growing community of learners, bringing their reputation for excellence to new online programs.

The College was sought after as an EduForum launch partner because it is working to bring the best of traditional higher education to a new type of working student, regardless of age or location.
